토론토교육청 한국어 무료 온라인 프로그램 "등록하세요"

토론토 교육청(TDSB)의 2020-2021 학기 외국어 프로그램이 COVID-19로 인해 온라인으로 진행되는 가운데, 무료 한국어 수업 프로그램에 많은 학생들이 등록해 수강해 줄 것을 교육청 관계자들이 요망했다.

이번 학기 외국어 프로그램 수업은 지난 10월부터 온라인으로 진행하고 있으나, 등록은 연중 받고 있으며, 한국어 수업 등록 역시 온라인을 통해 언제든 할 수 있어 온타리오에서 프로그램 참여를 원하지만 아직 등록을 하지못한 학생은 지금이라도 늦지 않았으므로 등록하고 수강하면 된다고 교육청 관계자는 밝혔다.

외국어 수업 프로그램 참여대상은 소속 교육청 상관없이 온타리오 거주 유치원생부터 8학년 학생이면 누구나 가능하다.

수업은 토론토 교육청내 13개 학교에서 내년 6월까지 매주 방과 후 또는 토요일 오전에 하루 2시간30분 동안 온라인 (www.ILEprograms.ca)으로 진행된다.

이 프로그램은 지난 7월 여름방학 동안에도 진행 돼 한국어 프로그램에 360여명이나 등록, 학생들이 온라인 수업에 참여해 한국어와 한국 문화를 배우고 익혔다고 TDSB 외국어 프로그램 디렉터인 김영아 씨가 전했다. < 문의: 416-338-4100 >

Responding to current circumstances beyond our control the International Languages-Elementary/African Heritage program has gone virtual since March 2020.

Thank you for your previous support for the summer program (July 2020) and we were pleased to see that it worked very well in most cases. Both students and parents were very fond of it.

This Fall, the International Languages – Elementary / African Heritage Program will be offering on-line language classes to students—kindergarten to grade 8 (TDSB and non-TDSB). Students will again take part in a remote/at-home learning environment. One day each week they will have live face-to-face interactive lessons with their instructor and other students for approximately 30 minutes through Google Meet. The remaining two hours will be spent on independent work through Google Classroom. Program activities will be focused on building every student’s abilities in oral communication, reading and writing.
